Aftercare Services for Suicide Attempters

Abstract

|
Suicide is a serious public health problem across the world. Suicide attempters are known as a high-risk group for suicide re-attempt and complete suicide. Therefore, aftercare services for suicide attempter are needed to prevent suicide. Postcard, telephone contact and case-management programs are promising interventions for suicide attempters. In this article, effectiveness and limitations of these interventions for suicide attempters are reviewed.
